Why hot tubs and sheds are hard to get rid of
These aren't things you can drag to the curb. A hot tub is heavy, awkward and often stuck behind a fence or a screened patio. A shed has to come apart before it can go anywhere. Most city bulk trash pickups won't take either one whole.
That's why most people end up calling a junk removal company. We bring the crew, the tools and the truck, and we haul it all away.
How hot tub removal works
1. You send us photos. Show the tub, the path out to the street or driveway, and any gates, steps or tight corners. 2. You get the power shut off. The hot tub has to be disconnected from electricity before we touch it. If it's hard-wired, have an electrician disconnect it first. 3. You drain it. Drain the water a day or two ahead so it has time to dry out. 4. We take it out. Depending on the size and the path, we either move it out whole or cut it into pieces on site. 5. We clean up. We load everything up, sweep up, and leave the spot clear.
If your hot tub has a wood or vinyl cover, steps or a broken gazebo over it, we can usually take those on the same trip.
How shed removal works
Sheds come in metal, wood and plastic, and each one comes apart a little differently. We take the shed apart, load the pieces and haul it all away.
Before we come out:
- Empty the shed. If you want us to haul off what's inside too, just tell us. Old lawn mowers, tools, bikes and patio furniture can go on the same load.
- Point out anything that stays. If there's something in there you're keeping, set it aside.
- Tell us about the base. Some sheds sit on a concrete slab, some on blocks, some on a wood floor. Let us know what's under yours so we can plan.

What affects the price
Every hot tub and shed is different, so we quote from your photos. The main things that change the price are:
- Size. A small two-person tub is a different job than an eight-person spa. Same with a small plastic shed versus a big wooden one.
- Access. A tub sitting next to the driveway is faster than one in a backyard behind a narrow gate.
- Whether it has to be cut up. Taking a tub or shed apart on site takes more time.
- What else goes with it. Adding yard debris, old patio furniture or the junk inside the shed can save you a second pickup.

Do I need to drain the hot tub first? Yes. Please drain it ahead of time and make sure the power is off and disconnected.
