Sometimes you don't have a garage full of junk. You've just got one thing that has to go. An old couch after the new one shows up. A mattress and box spring. A broken recliner. A dresser nobody wants. The city bulk pickup date is weeks away, and you don't have a truck.
That's where we come in. We're SoFlo Junk & Go, a local junk removal crew out of Pompano Beach. Single-item pickups are some of the most common jobs we do. Here's how they work.
What we pick up
If it's furniture or household junk, we can usually take it. Some of the single items we haul off all the time:
- Couches, sectionals, sleeper sofas and loveseats
- Mattresses and box springs
- Recliners and office chairs
- Dressers, nightstands and bed frames
- Dining tables and chairs
- TV stands and entertainment centers
- Old appliances like washers, dryers and fridges
- Patio furniture and grills
We don't take hazardous stuff like paint, gas or chemicals. Our what junk removal can't take guide has the full list.
What a single-item pickup costs
Jobs start at $150. A small pickup, like a single couch, a mattress or a few bags and boxes, usually lands somewhere around $150 to $250.
Where you fall in that range depends on three things: how much of the truck it fills, how heavy it is, and what it costs to dump. A big sectional takes more room than a recliner. A sleeper sofa with a metal frame is heavier than a regular couch. Our junk removal cost guide and dump fees explained go deeper.
You get one upfront price before we start. No surprise fees after the truck leaves.
Add a few things and save the trip
Since jobs start at $150, it often makes sense to add a few things. If you've got an old mattress, a broken chair on the patio and some boxes in the closet, throw them in with the couch. It's usually cheaper to do it in one pickup than two.

Do you need to carry it out?
No. We do the lifting. We'll take the couch out of the living room, the mattress out of the bedroom, or the dresser down the stairs. You don't need to drag it to the curb.
If it's up stairs or in a condo, just tell us when you send photos. If your building has rules about the elevator or loading times, give us a heads up and we'll plan for it.
How to get it gone fast
1. Take a few photos. One of the item, and one showing stairs or a tight spot if there is one. 2. Send them to us with your city and when you'd like it gone. 3. Get your price. We'll text back a straight, upfront number. 4. We show up and haul it. You point, we lift, and it's gone.
We're open 7 days a week, 7 AM to 8 PM, so weekend and evening pickups are usually doable.
Payment
There's no deposit. Payment is due on the day of the job, and we take cash, check, credit cards, Zelle, Cash App or PayPal.
Where we pick up
We're based in Pompano Beach and focus on Broward County and nearby areas, including Fort Lauderdale, Deerfield Beach, Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Margate, Tamarac, plus Boca Raton and Delray Beach in south Palm Beach County. If you're not sure we come to you, just ask.
